Food production has evolved over the years historically, people were hunters and gathers. Innovations of agriculture include genetic modiication, chemicals etc. From the farm house all the way to the supermarket we ind diferent processes added to the food. Agriculture has been transformed into a globally integrated system; the changes producing this result have occurred at many scales and have originated from many sources. Agriculture has proceeded through three revolutionary phases, from the domestication of plants and animals, through the agricultural revolution of the mid-eighteenth century, to the latest developments in biotechnology and industrial revolution. The increasing ability to manipulate nature has changed how humans view their environment and think about place. The introduction of new technologies, political concerns about food security and self-suiciency, and changing opportunities for investment and employment are among the many forces that have dramatically shaped agriculture as we know it today.
