It does not emphasize individual traits/characteristics, but is concerned with aggregate demographic phenomena/behaviors (individual traits) More narrowly focused on population composition and dynamics; Concerned with the statistical and mathematical aspect of the field. There are the forces of population change in any geography. An interdisciplinary science, studied by different disciplines. Focus on determinants and consequences of demographic changes.
