Two days the catholics celebrate for halloween (all saint day), all soul day (after halloween) October was the winter festival for the dead. Creatures came out to harm the people that inflected harm to them when they were alive. On the eve of samhain, people protected themselves by putting out their hearth fire. Foods such as pumpkins, apples, cakes, nuts, and kale were offered to the spirit. Commercially, halloween is the 2nd largest profiting holiday of the year. Cakes were offered to deities to remove evil influence on their house. Men blindfolded and find kale; what they brought back would reflect their soulmate. Christianity is one of the only religions that does not forbid any foods. Symbol of christianity: fish; no beginning, no end (like infinity sign) Jains: members of one of the oldest religions in india. Restrictive diet: life on earth is pain and suffering. Believes in reincarnation; therefore, believes heavily in honouring all life.
