Video on ryersonian about climate change in nunavut. Truth and reconciliation: videos we watched last week. Trying to change inuit culture to our correct culture. Thought that was the best way for inuit people: huge impact on inuit people, something that the university has started to acknowledge and they have acknowledge ryerson"s beginning, two goals. Truth: history of residential school system and its impacts. Reconciliation how do we reconcile that system and move forward and what are the racist components that are still part of our society now. Ryerson has acknowledged the 94 points to move forward from the committee and is working on finding ways to implementing them. One of the ways is where we can, implement this into our education curriculum. The short answer is no but the long answer is yes, they were pressured. The inuit agent and rcmp police showed up to inuit parents" houses and forced them to send their kids to these schools.
