Ink on plate (rightreading) gets transferred to blanket (wrongreading) which then gets transferred to the substrate. To take the ink from the image carrier to the image plate onto the substrate. Planographic image and nonimage areas are on the same level. Direct image on the substrate comes directly from the master/filmhead/drum. Webfed when they come in a roll and goes through the press instead of a stack of sheets. Print paper with cmyk ink dried in heat set oven folding unit (cut) Desgined to run high speed without stopping (2mill/hr) Heatset with rapid evaporations with mineral oil (heatoven) End cool the paper after the oven to 25c, making ink tougher. 16 pages signature (8 pages on each side) 44 plate = whole book lithographic plate (heat sensitive chemical coding) laser printer(gievs chemical coating) chemical bath (getting rid of chemical coating) Offset printer, spreads ink on entire plate.
