Ensure workers wear safety equipment, device, clothing. Take every reasonable precaution to keep employees safe. Create a non-adversarial climate in which labour and management can work together. May require special training and education of members. Safety, sanitation, general rights and duties, indoor air quality. Conducting diligent accident investigations and keeping detailed records. Ensure proper ergonomics to reduce unnecessary strain over time: most tasks are at a desk/computer, ensure chair and desk are ideal height with feet flat and elbows tucked. Get moving: try to get up and move around for a few minutes each hour. Use the right cutting tools: if cutting flexible materials, use scissors or an xacto knife with sharp blade. Don"t work alone: work in a team so there are people to support you if needed, if you"re the only person in a department, check the policy and see if it"s allowed.
