If they found british people, they would impress them back into the royal navy. Thousands of americans were spilling into the western territories. Conflict between british, indigenous peoples & americans. Group within the american government eager for action. In the kingston area and along st. lawrence. In traditional lake champlin - richeliew river to montreal area: around detroit area and up the thames river, along niagara frontier. Many children of loyalists go to the us to get more land. Can we depend on the canadians to fight (too much intermingling between canada & america) Counted on the pro-american sympathies of upper canada.
