Competitive advantage differs from era to era and industry to industry, thus the idea of continuous advancements in technology could be defined as competitive advantage today. Progressive is an insurance company which started out from the garage and has kept advancing themselves in information system. They have kept changing their basic claim system because their always room from improvement. Progressive has had a gradual change throughout the 25 years because they have realized that with every user friendly implementation their net revenues are increasing. This is due to fact because their expenses have lowered through the increase in efficiency and productivity. The question for progressive is not just being right because if it was about being right they would have still stuck to their original idea.
