Contract- preservation of promise- contract is a legally binding promise. Substantive law- refers to the body of rules that determine the rights and obligations of individuals and collective bodies. It refers to all categories of public and private law, including the law of contracts, real property, totrs and criminal law. Procedural law governs the mechanics of how a legal case flows, including steps to process a case. For example a person having the right to be aware of all charges against him or her within 72 hours of being arrested. Substantive law is the real world would be gathering facts and evidence to substantiate the charges brought against someone.
