Cinecitt production line called the colossus of rhodes (il colosso di rodi, 1961) Of course, his most famous works are the films of the "dollars-trilogy": a fistful of dollars (1964), for a few dollars more (1965), and the good, the bad and the ugly (1966). All of these star clint eastwood, and feature the music of ennio morricone. All three enjoyed great box-office success, but none of his last three films were huge money- earners. Lots of closeups on their faces, beautiful backgrounds. Build tension in films (pew pew pew) Leone liked to use extreme close-ups as part of the creative composition of the visuals. They don"t necessarily represent anything or add to the story, but simply help to compose the artistic content of the scene.
