Sarnoff created 50, 000 watt superstations in 1924 (huge) They were selling programming to the affiliates, listeners to the advertisers, Member stations would pay dues to receive up to three hours for prime time tv. 60% of these shows came from 3 main states. Because these were the only 3 places that could afford it Funding model no longer works co -prods with us, canada to bear cost of production.
