Talk about the history and legacies of nursing as a profession: nursing started off as a controversial position - how did it change- week 3. Social action, political activism, nursing as an organized group. Explore ethical and legal issues related to nursing. How these issues and trends will affect you as evolving professionals: change in the scope of practice - nurses will be able to prescribe meds, changes in the headlines, cno reviewing th standards of restraints. You cannot do extra work to earn more grades. I will be flexible and understanding but you must follow policies and procedures. Not doing so places me in a very difficult position and less able to assist you.
