Describe and practice assessment of the mental status examination: appearance, behaviour, Body movements- voluntary, deliberate, coordinated, smooth and even. Dress- appropriate for the setting, season, age gender and social group. Grooming and hygiene- pt is clean & neat. Sitting on edge of chair, curled, pacing, slumped. Total inattention to one side of the body, meticulous dress.
