Abnormal finding etc: should know normal findings so you can determin abnormal. Attentive to abuse-- ie: bruises, cuts etc by the arm, neck e. Physical assessment: general survey/appearance ( general height, weight, posture, non distress) Skin- consistent with genetic background - is there pallor, cyanosis, erythema. In addition to chapter 28, refer to chapter 10. Examine other areas of skin with corresponding regional examination. Six cardinal positions - (cn iii, iv, vi) Pupil response to light and accommodation- pupils equal in size. Whispered voice test- if report that having trouble hearing ( cn viii) Facial symmetry (facial nerve vii) nasal mucosa, septum and turbinates. Mouth and throat - pink, moist, free of lesions. Inspect buccal mucosa, teeth, gums, tongue, floor of mouth, palate and uvula. Note mobility of uvula ahh (cnix and x glossopharyngeal and vagus)
