Clear liquid: this diet is limited to broth, bouillon, coffee, tea, carbonated drinks, clear fruit juices, gelatin or popsicles, you can see through the fluid, patients preparing for diagnostic testing (i. e. , colonoscopy) or post gi surgery. Full liquid: smooth-textured dairy products, custards, refined cook cereals, vegetable juice, pureed. High fibre: this diet includes fresh uncooked fruits, steamed vegetables, bran, oatmeal, and dried fruits, beneficial to patients with heart disease, diabetes as it reduces blood cholesterol and glucose, adds bulk to stool and increases bowel elimination.
