Whmis 2015 is in force : suppliers may begin to use and follow the new requirements. But there is a transition period with various stages. The supplier can use the whmis 1988 system. Or the 2015 system but cannot use a combination of the two system. Physical hazard criteria consistent with transport of dangerous goods. Hazardous products that meet criteria for hazard class or category, but some do not require a pictogram. Still require signal word, hazard statement, other required label elements. Should be in an area away from access and egress. Workers should have to pass dangerous chemicals in a re or accident. Accumulation of vapour can be a disaster waiting to happen. Explosion- proof equipment electrical connections, switches, plugs, motors, must be explosion proof.
