Document Summary

We can escape the 1km-sized sun, starting from 100km away from it. No light comes out from within the black hole. There are a variety of things that causes it and one of them is a supernova. One of the brightest thing in the universe (gamma) is made by one of the darkest things in the universe (black holes) Astrobiology has become a very active field. Direct imaging of planets around other stars is very difficult! Star is a billion times brighter than planet. Systems are very far away from us, have very small angular separation : appear close together, easier to spot planet if the system is close to us (only works if its closer to us) Star has a lot of glare: easier to see the planet if it orbits far from the star, there is not likely to be no life on planets very far from their star.
