Sargent payne: strong man, authored the whole story, by keeping holly in vienna it got him to meet harry, amused him to keep holly in vienna, the effect of holly staying is that holly gives a lecture. The lecture was awful: he wants to play a joke on crabbins (the guy who organized the lecture)
