There is going to be a certain amount of conflict in any city. Politics = network of institutions to resolve conflict. Law and police must be respected in order for this to work. Law and court created by politics: authoritative allocation of values. Values (cid:396)efe(cid:396)(cid:396)ed to (cid:862)thi(cid:374)gs of (cid:448)alue(cid:863) (wealth, health, status) Process where these things are allocated and distributed. Economic advantage given to those in power; they will not go to jail. Status; people believe in successful businessmen/entrepreneurs are of high status. Who would ever elect a nurse for president: just society.
