Politics are discussing what happens at a governmental level of decision making. Allocation is distribution deciding who gets what in society i. e power, money, recognition david. The state is the most basic building block of politics, it is relatively enduring even when everything else is changing. The government is the people occupying and controlling the state at any given time i. e a trudeau government as of 22014. Legitimacy; the usage of power, coercion is an illegitimate usage of power, and violence should only be used by the state because they have gone through a process that legitimates their right to exercise that power. How do we as humans impact the environment and how, in turn, does the environment affect us, i. e politics dictates the usage and distribution of even the simplest things, i. e. fresh water. Rules allow us to engage in complex social discussions such as making laws.
