Section 5, 6 and 7 deal with the welfare state of 2014 income assistance, healthcare and education. We all believe this but in the final course of the section we will ask, is in fact the education system enabling all children to succeed. Hence in this section we are looking at differences in income and wealth= differences in well-being and opportunity=advantages and disadvantages. Calamities are significant for those who are not protected. We will look at this question through 3 major lenses: social class what does it mean to say that canada has a social class structure. In other words, canadians can be identified on the basis of their social class location (upper, middle and lower) 2: gender what does it mean to talk about the advantages and disadvantages through the lens of gender, ethnicity/race in what way does ethno racial identity affect advantages and disadvantages in our society. *these are not mutually exclusive (not completely different categories) they intersect.
