Most careers that consist of high decision making has higher suicidal rates (i. e. , doctors, Pitfalls & pratfalls of decision making: group think: making group decisions. Following the norm (conformity) with the group can happen in group think. In group think, there is a decrease in critical thinking, morale, reality testing, In group think, people do not criticize other people or themselves. Believe that you are the most morale in the group. People do not deliberately stop critical thinking in group think, it just happens automatically. The more the group members like each other, the greater danger of stopping critical thinking. 1: rationalization, morality: group thinks it is very moral and high minded, ignore ethical and moral. Invulnerability: believing that you can never make a mistake consequences of their decisions: stereotypes, pressure for conformity: pressure to agree with everyone else, self-censorship: pressure to shut up and don"t say anything.
