A test for a certain age maybe valid but it may not be for another age group: selective survival: older groups are a subset of what the group was like when young. The more cautious/happy people are the ones who survived to old age: problems with the extreme age group design. The young age group is 18-22 years old, the old age group are seniors in retirement homes, there are no in between. Problem: 18-22 years old have 4 years of different experience and the retirement homes could have 30 years of experience differences.
