Indv. personality: emotional support system, type of cancer, family history (can be +/- reaction) If someone from your family survived cancer = you feel more okay knowing you can also beat cancer. If someone from family died from it = more reaction: severity of cancer, terminal cancer. Increases risks of getting type 2 diabetes later in life. Increases chances of child getting type 2 diabetes later in life: stress, perception of stress makes a difference not the level of stress.
