Purpose of life for jung is the goal of individuation: Individuation: involves becoming an individual, fulfilling one"s capacities and developing one"s self. To realize one"s own potential, to follow one"s own perception of the truth, and to become a whole person in one"s own right. Four dimensions to being human: the physiological dimension. All processes and drive necessary for physical survival. The need to breathe, eat, drink and have sex: the social dimension. The need to form personal relationships: the psychic dimension. Rational, conscious, and reality based processes supporting adaptation and adjustments to reality: the spiritual dimension. Human dependence and subject to all irrational aspects and experiences of being human that cannot be understood and explained by human reasons. It does not have anything to do with religion, it is more about transcending as a human being.
