Advances in automatic expression of emotion from the final meeting. Learning how to put emotions, body language, etc. Collected a database of interactions: solid sal: humans pretending to be the characters. Have conversations with the people pretending to be characters and these interactions are used to come up with the kinds of things that the characters should be saying. Used to develop a system of expression: semi-automatic sal: humans choosing what sal says using wizard of. A human will decide what the character says to another person that they"re having a conversation with: fully automatic sal: system generated utterances and behaviours. The character is able to have a conversation on their own based on the previous work. The character does not have any real intelligence so you can"t ask it a question. Which personality theories/approaches do you think came into play in the development of these characters and their personalities: learning approach skinner. The characters are the ultimate blank slates.
