In autism it is not enough to say that we will target one particular thing. Which aspect of functioning of autism to focus on. Comprehensive intervention is required: comprehensive intervention is often required. If they can do it with a therapist it doesn"t mean they can do it at home: so involve the actual envs the child is in, everyday environment and people used to increase generalization. Involve parents, teachers, peers as change agents: early psychological treatments. Year 1 - for the first yr: (cid:373)ai(cid:374)ly takes place i(cid:374) child"s ho(cid:373)e: based on one to one interaction, provision of clear and brief instructions from therapist. Year 2 & 3 diverse settings, including group settings - start moving out of home - educational setting etc.
