SOC103 How Societies WorkThe Socially situated human agent Agent is a specifically sociological word where we are not socially determined to turn out a specific way but we are socially constituted work with whats already evolved in society in interaction with people and working with their expectations and we get to make choices whether we get along with that or not We think process both consciously and unconsciously ie the influence the larger media has on us such as body image and gender roles in movies advertisements etc Our criticism proves the point that we digest and unconsciously reflect on the society and the social world Yet there are different people who receive and interpret those images and messages on a greater or lesser valueWe have choices but within fields of limited possibilities Human agency our capacity as individual actors the internal debate where you are selecting between making a decision or engaging in a behavior and prioritizing one over t
