We are always studying ourselves in the midst of social interactions, and most of us take our social world for granted bc we"re so emerged in social life. So we regard our lives as personal, and therefore prevent us from gaining an understanding as to why things happen in our lives. We put so much emphasis on individualism and the fact that its personal to you that we don"t see how our personal interests relate to social structures. A sh is the last to discover water . We don"t pause to question why we do things. Soc has lots to teach us ab ourselves ab how we"ve come to be ppl we are, what we value and, what we desire.
