Double Happiness is a film about an aspiring actress named Jade, who is a young 2nd-gen Chinese-Canadia.
Struggling between the strict old-world values and expectations of her parents, who don't see acting as a viable
career, and both the limitations and stereotypes of Canadian society, Jade must learn to negotiate the divergent
expectations of her community and her culture. A film about what it means to grow up w/ a hybrid identity, it
