Document Summary
Readings- chapter 3 weber on method: probability and casual pluralism. He"s approach is in between the use of natural science to predict or explain social behavior and hard science. Argues that x may lead to y in some, or even in most instances, but rarely without exception. We can assess and even calculate that x equals to y but we cannot always be sure that x will always lead to y because this is not the nature of social processes. Casual pluralism is done by pluralistic analysis of factor, several potential factors are taken into consideration and they determined how much weight each one has on the outcome. Subjective nature of human interaction should be taken into consideration the many aspects of social life: ideas that govern their behavior, meanings people attach to their actions, consciousness and perceptions of the world around them.
