Growing up: when you deviate from these life events. It"s a social deviance: everyone is very aware of the life course. Constantly keeping check: earlier events affect later experiences. Affects the rest of your life course: significance of normativity, significance of context. Going to university: more education credentials. 50% canadians get more education: negative stereotypes. Children go to school for a long time. Factors for difficulties technology: over supply, recessions/ downsizing, out sourcing, We have an oversupply of educated workers. And we don"t have enough people who will work blue collar work. We maximize profit, not jobs: social context. See where you are born, location, ses, family: citizenship and education. No jobs in those areas (cid:1) (cid:1) Always try to pin older generations against younger generations.
