Intersexed: crossdressers (but are straight, fluid gender identities (genderfluid, genderqueer, all identities that are not masculinity and femininity, have different interests than people who are transsexual. There are many people in this community who do not identify within the gay and lesbian discourse, and as a result, they have no voice. Governments create policies about trans people without actually consulting them, or by only consulting certain populations (middle-class, non sex-workers) Experience downward social mobility (people will not hire them, often they are forced into sex work to support themselves) In french civil law, the body is a government institution as a result, one cannot change their name until they have received reassignment surgery. Refers to individuals who are born into one sex (either male or female) but who identify as members of the opposite sex.
