Business process: a set of aciviies that are necessary to complete a response to a simulus applied to an organizaion (involve many/all departments in a company) A business process is a network of aciviies, resources, faciliies, and informaion. Each of these acions interacts with each other to perform a business funcion. Aciviies: transformers , transform resources and informaion of one type into resources and informaion of another type; can be manual, automated or both. Resources: something that an organizaion can use to provide value for customers; include internal and external. Valued customers add value because they will come back to purchase more. Supplier inventory add value because we can sell the inventory and sell it. Faciliies: structures that can be uilized as part of the business process. Data: the bridge, something that is in between the computer side and human side of informaion system; facts or igure; something that doesn"t make sense on its own.
