Talks about how we behave in everyday life. Understanding and subcultures and (cid:1) (cid:1) (cid:1) what did we ask people. What happens when things are not normal in an interaction? (cid:1) Mostly politely, however sometimes we do understand that some people have n awkward approach. Goff man- talks about the impression that one gives and then give off. (cid:1) Starts his piece- understand behavior we ask about general (cid:1) socio-economic status. General conceptions and their behavior and attitude towards us. Talks about individuals in the form of semiotics. What meanings are attached to the meanings that we use. Are we adopting and borrowing clues from other interactions. The way we learn about people is also a test of stereotypes. The two concepts are the ideas of expressiveness and the ideas of impressions. Expressiveness in the way an individual presents itself. Gives: verbal symbols used to convey information (narrow communication)
