The mobile application i chose to discuss is tinder which was founded in 2012. Tinder has become one of the most popularly used applications amongst adolescents. To give a brief description of how tinder works, i would classify it as a date matching application. Naziri of los angeles times reported that tinder has produced over 20 million matches, while. Also with the new concern of being catfished amongst online daters, tinder lowers the chances of meeting false people. Tinder requires all users to connect their facebook account to their tinder profile as a pass to usage. The application"s icon is a fire sign, and once you"re connected it displays pictures of people in your chosen proximity that you could possibly match with. To let the application know whether you approve or dislike the candidate it allows you to hit a red x button for dislike or a green heart shaped button as a signification that you like the person.
