Canadian crime rates 2004 2012 [per 100,000 populations] In 2012, property crimes accounted for 61% of all criminal code incidents. Crime rates have been declining since the peak in 1991. In 2012, the rate was at the lowest level since 1972. Willful/malicious burning of a house, public building, motor vehicle or aircraft, personal property etc. Sometimes the intent is to defraud or cover up crime. In 2012: 11,040 arson cases = 32 per 100,000 population. In us, juveniles arrested in 50% of the arson cases. Persistent juvenile ire-setters have higher levels of antisocial behaviors and impulsiveness.
