Conflict would arise because to maximize profit, the bourgeoise needed to keep costs down (pay laborers little) Both groups try to maximize their advantage. In short term bourgeoise would win because they have control over the means of production. Bonger: capitalism encourages to dominate and take advantage of others in society in order to make profit (selfishness) Steven spitzer: argued capitalism was changing to advanced/monopoly capitalism. As capitalism becomes more efficient it creased social junk . People in power would be social junk and protestors would be social dynamites. Overcome crime and conflict as it related to capitatim by. Marx: overthrow capitalist system by realizing false consciousness. Conflict theory: this expansion allows that there may be more groups in conflict than just the bourgeoisie and proletariat.
