They"re expected to be independent, not allowed to be interfered poliically. Now some suggesion that this is may change (some porion of public favors elecing judges) Appointment depends on poliical ailiaion/support (the party ur leaning and the party that is in power ur more likely to be appointed as a judge when those things line up) Four levels of court deal with criminal cases (the only excepion is nunavut-uniied (single level) Lowest level of court but also the busiest.
