Despite fact that charges are on rise very little known about what kinds of substantive behaviour underlies alleged breaches. Bail & probation orders typically made up of average of 7 separate conditions intended to reduce likelihood of recidivism. Orders to :keep the peace and be of good behaviour . Spacial restrictions (red zones) banning someone from area though to be associated w/ offence. Recognize that experiments are best choice for controlled testing of causal processes. Describe how classical experiment tests effect of experimental stimulus on some dependent variable through pretesting & posttesting of experimental & control groups. Understand that group of experimental subjects need not be representative of some larger population but experimental & control groups.
