Physically fit: memory, reading comprehension, writing and math, passing score of 60% (police officer, passing score of 50% (special municipal constable, grade 12 level exam, 3 hours in length. Physical testing: popat (police officer, copat (special municipal constable) Interview: 3-4 hours in duration, review of all forms submitted, psychological testing component (police applicants only, conducted by a recruiting unit detective. Assessment centre (police process only: 8 hour day at the jibc. Involves role playing exercises related to the position of the police constable: behaviour, skill, attitude and performance are all assessed. Sergeant"s interview (police process only: the recruiting sergeant will review the candidates performance during the process and will address any concerns. If successful, the applicant will be assigned to background investigation.
