Creative nonfiction, essayism, the literary periods, postmodernism, literary criticism, literary theory = terms we have been touching on throughout the book. Will now introduce a segment of current theory about an essay. Critical concept of voice = a number of implications: the 2 founds can be found in many differ kinds of writing other than essays. Essays as such (in sich) or as a writing procedure distinguished from reports, memoirs, op-ed pieces, novels, journalism, journal articles, etc. form only a small part of these readers. Many of the prose selections in them are excerpted from larger forms like monographs of books. However, as many theorists of the essay have recognized, essayistic forms exist within other forms. We find an essayistic polyphonic type of writing in many guises in almost all prose.
