Group members: cassy yan, ciara mccrae, emily cook, madison cheung, michelle doucet. Our group has defined a sex symbol" as something that is very subjective and varies from person to person, gender to gender. Usually for someone to be considered a sex symbol they have to be seen as attractive by a larger portion of the public and at least have some talents that keeps society focused on them. Our group found that for females being a sex symbol" has a lot to do with someone being over sexualized and in pristine physical condition. Madison stated that once a female is identified as a sex symbol, they need to keep up appearances. You can see this in angelia jolie and jennifer lopez. They have been named as sex symbols and even now that they are in their 50"s they still need to be this ideal sex symbol, it"s almost like they have never aged.
