Two-spirit: indigenous person who recognizes and identifies with interrelatedness of gender, sexuality, spirituality and community (in indigenous cultures) Transgender: a person who doesn"t identify (full or in part) as the gender they were assigned at birth (ex. Transgender man assigned as female at birth but identifies as a man) Cis(gender): a person who identifies as the gender they were assigned at birth. Queer: a reclaimed slur used by someone to recognize the fluidity of their sexuality and/or their gender (term for sex and gender) Gender: socially constructed roles, behaviours, expressions and identities. Msm: alternative to saying homosexual or gay or any other identity that men may have as a means to avoid further stigmatizing gay and bi men. Criticized as overly focused on behaviour and disregarding the social contexts and identities of men. Social identity is within a social context but disregarding it causes issues.
