Reading for week 5, read that for week 6, and the reading for week 6, read that for week 5. Example of exam question: describe the role of science in helping emerge the modern world. It is the attempt to apply these new scientific principles of understanding people as animals bound by laws of nature. Aristocratic class: own the land, bourgeoisie: work the land, artisanal: produce useless goods art. Natural price: leave people to their own interactions and they will come to their own price: price is decided between buyer and seller. The world is made up of different people that occupy certain areas of the map. They are naturally bounded groups that have always occupied these lands since the beginning of time. Eric wolf wants to show that the world is not like this at all. The world did not become interconnected because of europe, but there has always been dense interconnection.
