Document Summary
When you look at the same grass you say that you see green. Answers that won"t do: i"m not color blind. I always agree with everyone else when we discuss colors. I agree on which are the warm colors and which are the cool colors. Its an interesting philosophical question in any event. Can"t we (don"t we) just define color terms (like red )i n terms of wavelengths of light? . Perhaps the physicist does this: but when she does, she is not dealing with (talking about) the sensation. The physicist is concerned with the physical conditions which give rise to our seeing red. But these conditions are not the color red. Red is the color that i ( normally , at least ) see under those conditions. At least this much is clear: we find ourselves asking the distinction between the mental and physical realms. This beings as a simple, common sense view.
