The most studied monkey is the one that is most complex (mocaque monkey) The monkey has a smaller brain/ cortex, however they have similar regions of brains as humans: monkey brains are structurally different, medial temporal lobe (mt) in monkeys are in charge of global movements. There is no correlation between sizes of brains. Lashley: lesion method: findings conclude that we need the whole brain for memory, different neural systems from memory and attention, but are largely linked together. Limitation to single-cell method is that it only looks at one cell, and since memory and attention utilizes the whole brain, single-cell method is considered a micro- method and limiting.
