Instructions: print and bring with you to your tutorial. Read it over, but do not work on until your tutorial time. Question 1: what is the power output in watts of a 70. 0-kg sprinter who accelerates from rest to 10. 0 m/s in. 3. 00 s: an escalator is used to move 20 passengers every minute from the first floor of a department store to the second. The second floor is located 5. 0 meters above the first floor. Determine the power requirement of the escalator in order to move this number of passengers in this amount of time. In 2035, the energy consumption of all the people on our planet is estimated to be 2. 2 x 1014 kwh per year (1 kwh = 1000 j/s * 3600 s = 3,600,000 j). We need to consider how to move to clean renewable energy to meet these demands. Solar panels convert light energy from the sun into electrical energy.
