Can we defend the idea: democracy is a robust and powerful idea, discursively we connect democracy as a standard of evaluation to many forms of social life. Innovations in democracy: referendum and deliberative understandings of democracy . Inclusion of all adults: all fully mature persons should have a voice: control of the agenda: those who are impacted by decision should be ablt to determine what policies are taken up and discussed and debated. Democeactic theory: is democracy good: among the numerous benefits, freedom from tyranny, protection of fundamental rights, more personal freedom, prosperity and human development, peace and security. It seems to be consistent with our intuitions that assuming its opposite is noxious.
