Sensation: strictly involves the stimulation of the sense organs. Perception: involves selection, organization and interpretation of sensory inputs. Thresholds: dividing point between energy levels that do and do not have a noticeable effect. How much louder do i have to turn the volume up in order for you to realize the sound got louder. Absolute threshold: minimum amount f stimulation than an organism can detect for a specific sensory input. Difference threshold: minimum difference between 2 stimuli for the person to be able to detect them as different.
